CHAPTER-1
INTRODUCTION
The
role of primary health centres is to serve as the first line of defense against
illness and disease. The ‘primary health
centre plays a central role in health care system worldwide’. States the
disease control priorities project. It
can offer families cost effective services close to home. Eliminating trips to specialist and
hospitals. The basic health care units
that exist in every village and small town is a primary health centre. There are health officers in each primary
health centre who are qualified doctor.
These enters provide routine medical care to the people. The patients who are serious or require
surgery are sent to the Govt. hospital in the nearest town. In very small villages;
there are only health sub centres of village clinics that have a trained health
worker for providing basic health care.
The biggest districts and cities, there are Govt.hospitals that looks
after the medical needs of the people of the area. They have many more
facilities and well-equipped to deal with any kind of emergency.They have well
qualified staff and latest medical equipment.
Primary health centers providing education for community health by
teaching the importance of hygiene and sanitation, looking after the general
health or the people and treating them for common diseases nominal cost. Running
Govt. Dispensaries that provide even
costly medicine free or at nominal cost. Providing vaccination and inoculations
against diseases like tuberculosis, cholera, polio and other epidermis free of
cost.
Primary health
centres generally consist of one or more doctors to teach the primary health
centre and pharmacist staff nurses of other paramedical support staff etc.
NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE
“Health is
wealth”.Primary health centres are one of the inevitable aspects in the current
world and which plays an important role for making the human life and safe.
Significance can be of many kinds such as easy access, cost effectiveness and it
suite for all human categories.
STATEMENT OF THE STUDY
The main purpose of study is to find out the role primary
health centres. so the present study entitled as ‘’A STUDY ON THE ROLL OF PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRES IN PROMOTING AWARNESS
REGARDING PUBLIC HEALTH AMONG PEOPLE”.
DEFINITION OF THE KEYWORD
PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE:-
The primary health centres is the basic structural
functional unit of the public health services in developing countries.
OBJECTIVES
OF THE STUDY
The objective of the study;
1. To find out the roll of health centres promoting
awareness regarding public health among people.
2. To find out importance of primary health centres.
SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
SCOPE:-The study
will help the investigator to find out the importance of primary health centres
and roll of health centres promoting awareness regarding public health among
people and also it will help to awareness and functions of health centres. The people
give various type of responses.
LIMITATION:-The
present study has certain limitations are;
1. The size of sample was also limited in number
2. Study was conducted only social workers.
3. Correct information’s can be obtained from the social
workers.
CHAPTER- 2
METHODOLOGY
Methodology of any educational system
includes the description of method and used for collecting, analysing and
interpreting the data. It gives a detected description of search variables and procedures.

The investigator used survey method
for collecting the study.
TOOLS AND
TECHNIQUES
Here the investigator used
questionnaire as a tool. From this the investigators get an idea about student
attitudes towards the project.
SAMPLE SELECTED FOR THE STUDY
The same size consists of 10 social workers in our locality

The investigator distributes the questionnaire
among the teachers of the social workers. Then the investigator collected the
responses after analysis the responses the investigator found that

INTERPRETATION
Through this study the investigator
came to the conclusion that roll of primary health centres in promoting
awareness regarding public health among people help to develop and effective of
services. The investigator found that in
the first analysis “primary health centres operates in your place’’ 100% of
social workers gave ‘yes’ response. In the second analysis is “medicine
available of all kind of disease”100% of social workers gave ‘yes’ response. In
the third analysis of “vaccination health centres are safe”90%social workers
gave ‘yes’ response and rest gain 10% workers ‘no’ response. In the fourth
analysis of “Health centres conduct health awareness programmes”90% workers
gave ’yes’ response and 10% workers gave
‘no’ response. In the fifth analysis is “doctors and staff effective and efficient”
100% social workers gave ‘yes’ response.
CHAPTER-4
FINDINGS AND CONCLUSION
The findings show that there is a
functional primary health centres system in place in the two study districts
though its implementation is found with various challenges related to
accessibility of service and shortage of resources. Health service providers
and consumers shared perceptions on the importance of intensifying community
participation on the to strengthen PHC, particularly within the areas of
provision of insecticide treated net, home care management for malaria,
management of diarrhea disease treatment of schistosomea is and provision of
good supplements against malnutrition. There are health officers in each
primary health center who are qualified doctor. Running Govt. dispensaries that
provided even costly medicine free or at nominal cost.
On
conducting the study indicates that intensified community participation based
on CDI approach can be considered as a realistic means to increase
accessibility of certain vital intervention at community level.
